Hello, readers!
Our January reading starts in just two days. On the non-fiction side, Gloria Mark’s Attention Span (2023) covers the single most important topic of our era: the decline of our collective focus and attention — and how to recover it. In a nutshell, you’ll learn to say no to the algorithmic machine and ultimately start doing the things you want to be doing.
On the fiction side, The Razor’s Edge by W. Somerset Maugham (1944) is very much related to the idea of what we give our time and attention to. Amongst his more materialistic friends, Larry Darrell yearns for a life of meaning and real fulfillment. It’s one of the most impactful novels I’ve read and I can’t wait to dive in again.
Below you’ll find our reading schedules for these two great books.
Each Sunday morning, you’ll get a recap of the previous week’s reading, what stood out most to me, and some ideas for discussion.

Can't wait to start The Razor's Edge!
I read The Razor’s Edge for the first time a few months ago and absolutely loved it. Beautifully written characters and a fabulous story.
