East of Eden is one of my lifetime favorites. The last time I read it was in 2012, so I’m looking forward to revisiting at a very different stage in my life. Thanks, Jeremy!

I read this in January 2021 & was blown away by this sweeping saga about good and evil! Definitely a masterpiece & a must-read classic!

I couldn't wait to re read this book. I hardly remember the first time since it was in high school so many life experiences ago. I'm delighted to enjoy such a wonderful read now on my "golden " years. The opening description of the Salinas Valley means so much more now that I have lived in California for the past 50 years. Reminds me of the evisceral Bronte opening chapter description of the moors in Wuthering Heights. These are real good reads that glow. I'm looking forward to this one.

I first read East of Eden when I was in the Navy, many, many years ago. It had a profound impact on me and I am looking forward to rereading this classic again.

Really looking forward to reading this. I think I may have read it as an early teen because I’ve read the first couple of chapters this weekend (concerted effort to try and hit the timetable for the first time EVER😁) and I’m having flashbacks! Of Mice and Men was on both my kids secondary school reading lists and they both devoured it. My daughter cried bless her.

This is my first reading of East of Eden. Encouraging that so many of the comments are from people who have already read it and are looking forward to a reread, I'm excited to get started!
